In 2018, NTPC’s shareholders adopted a resolution to create the Nam Theun 2 Development Fund (NT2DF), a fund that finances development projects focusing on Nakai Plateau communities living in the close surrounding of Nam Theun 2’s project. NT2DF is co-chaired by Nam Theun 2 and the Khammouane province.
