Key Responsibilities

  • Assist RMU Management in organizing and implementing the Occupational Health and Safety Management system within NTPC. This includes the promotion of safety awareness in all NTPC Departments.
  • Update and maintain Procedures and Work Instructions related to Occupational Health and safety and monitor the efficiency of implementation.
  • Assist and ensure H&S action plans and programs of NTPC Safety management system are fully implemented, in relation to Safety and Emergency Management Senior Officer.
  • Assist in preparing the safety committee meeting with minutes of meeting and records for action plan.
  • Assist in planning and organizing relevant training and drills.
  • Assist incident investigations, then follow-up progress of corrective actions in the Archer System.
  • Support and assist senior safety officer to ensure the departments to update Job Hazard and Environmental Aspects Assessment (“JHEA”) develop and update Safety Operation Procedure “SOP”.
  • Monitor the implementation and compliance with NTPC Procedures through random check via observations channel.

Requirement:

  • Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • Health & Safety training certifications.
  • Basic knowledge of Firefighting.
  • Understanding of Lao Labor Law-based H&S requirements.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001: 2015, ISO45001:2007, ISO 9001:2015
  • Understanding of safety regulations, protocols, and industry standards.
  • Understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation.
  • Proficiency in conducting drills and coordinating crisis responses.
  • Strong ability to assess risks and implement preventive measures.
  • Capacity to analyze incident data and recommend corrective actions.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
  • English skill – Intermediate level.
